Buying A Game Console In Time For Christmas

By flower August 27th, 2008

There are many popular places in the UK for buying game consoles at xmas time, such as your local Argos Nintendo Wii Store or your Currys Nintendo Wii Store, not to mention numerous others. However, despite the choice many of these high street stores run out well before Christmas and it is best to prepare early.

More recently I went to Comet to buy a Nintendo Wii for my wife only to find that I had to wait for over 2 weeks just to get my hands on one. Whilst the Xbox and Playstation 3 are still very popular and may well sell out, you can be assured that you will not be able to get a Nintendo Wii on the run up to Christmas, let alone their new and very popular Wii Fit Board. Wii Fit Boards are very difficult to get hold of now and come the new year when everyone wants to loose a few pounds you will not be able to get one for any price.

Nintendo seem to have limited stocks to increase a frenzied demand for their consoles and it was only last Christmas that they pulled the plug on advertising the Nintendo Wii in the UK as demand had outstripped supply before November by over 20,000 units.

If you are going to want one of these popular consoles for Christmas my recommendation is to get to the shops sooner rather than later. Alternatively have a good look around online and grab yourself a bargain at ebay or even on Amazon. If you are very lucky and don not mind a second hand one you may find yourself a real bargain.
