So you want to add flash banners to your website? Well it really isn’t as complicated as you may think. If you don’t already have a flash file, then search for a free one in any internet search engine. Just type in “free flash banner” and you should find one relatively quickly. The file that you will be using will have the extension *.swf.

Now upload the choosen *.swf file onto your file server, preferably into a directory that is relative to your webpage. Note the URL location of this file.

Next, you will copy and paste the following code into your webpage:

PLUGINSPAGE=”http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash”>

Finally, you replace the “flash.swf” part of your code with the URL of your newly uploaded *.swf file. After uploading your webpage, just refresh your screen and your splash banner
should appear in your browser.

Please Note:
You won’t likely see the splash banner through your html editor, but it will appear after you have published the webpage. You must also have the software installed in your web browser for flash to work. If you are having difficulty, please visit http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/ to make sure that you have installed the current Flash Player.

Also Important:
Note that there are width, and height attributes within the original code that we are using. You may adjust those attributes, currently at: width=1024, and height=240, to suit the needs of your flash banner. Another attribute that you can change is the background colour, which is currently set at: BGCOLOR=#000000, or Black.

Adding flash code to your website can be easy if your browser is configured right, and you have placed the correct URL to the actual *.swf, or flash file, where shown. Just remember to go in between the “parentheses.swf” with the file you are choosing to display on your webpage.

Hopefully you have created a flash banner that will animate accordingly, in browsers all across the world. One last recommendation: Check your finished product in more than one browser, to assure correct display. If you are unsure about doing this yourself then you could hire a professional website design company to do it for you.

Why not visit our web design blog to keep up with the latest news and reviews in the web design world.

If you’re fortunate enough to have some extra money sitting around, you may well be wondering how to proceed about it. Here are a few suggestions regarding how to best make your hard earned money work for you for a while.

Have an emergency fund. That one is crucial. You will probably need greater than the standard 3-a few months coverage, particularly if you coping with one place with high unemployment and/or else you have children. Put that money in a high yield piggy bank (meaning not local) or perhaps a CD that offers you access without penalties. ING Direct and FNBO both have high yield savings accounts will come your way online and link direct in your checking account. Ally has high yield savings and CDs that are have less penalties and permit you to withdraw when you’ll want to.

In the western world your checking account, find one which charges no monthly fee. Where may be the logic because fee? You make payment for the lending company for that privilege of letting them make good coin off your cash? Why? Better that you locate a no fee checking account with low or no monthly minimum balance. If you can find one which pays you interest, better still. Does that checking account offer perks? Find one that gives you points for the debit card usage and consider ripping up most of your credit cards.

When you have plastic cards, keep no less than one or two of which. Maintain ones that offer the most effective rewards. Don’t cancel your other cards until you have impulse spending problems because shutting down old accounts can certainly hurt your credit history. Use the ones you prefer for essentials you know you are able to spend on monthly. Pay the balance of your outstanding balance and vow to always pay entirely monthly. Don’t let those companies earn cash off you again. Pay online to make sure your payment gets there within two business days and try to pay ahead of the due date.

Use in addition to one bank. Not every bank has everything you need so check around to get where you can get the very best checking, savings, CD rates, mortgage and other loans. Don’t use one bank although it’s easy, that’s how they get you. Use multiple banks, spread your money around and maximize it’s potential growing.

Use the local banks if you need customer care one of the most, but expect that they will contain the worst interest levels both for savings and loans. Utilize them for free services like your checking account and small emergency savings.

Introduction

Mention the word demolition to almost anyone and the picture that instantly comes to mind is a vision of a building being blown up and collapsing to the ground. Many people have stated that they would love to push the button, to detonate the explosive devices which bring a disused building to the ground. In many cases what comes down, must go up and we are seeing many dilapidated buildings being demolished to make way for future development, often as part of a regeneration project.

For companies who over many years have built their business around the demolition of buildings, the demolition sector is now far more reaching than just blowing up old buildings. Once the building is demolished the huge task of site clearance begins and in a world where consideration of the environmental impacts are high on most peoples agenda, the material residues from demolition need to be separated for recycling purposes. This will include such materials as steel, wood, plastic, brickwork and concrete.

Most of the materials can be bulked up and shipped to the appropriate recycling plants for reprocessing. Materials such as bricks and concrete can be crushed and turned into a recycled concrete aggregate product ready for reuse in the construction of new roads or buildings. Increasingly though, through advances in technological development, residues such as concrete to be recycled have to meet a very high specification for reuse in construction projects.

Crushed into different grades of recycled aggregate will determine the future usage potential of the product. Large sizes could be used as decorative rockery products in gardening whilst much finer, almost shingle like product can be used as a bedding for pipe laying or as a layer in road construction. With an increasing number of opportunities identified for the reuse of recycled aggregate, the entire demolition and construction industry is making a significant contribution to sustainable development. Following demolition of a site, many demolition contractors have expanded their service offering to include site clearance services.

Reasons Behind the Increased Focus on Recycling from Construction and Demolition Projects

In 1996, UK Government imposed a tax on all wastes going to landfill. The tax is paid on top of normal gate fees for waste being disposed in landfill and since its introduction the cost has increased on an annual basis. When first introduced, the standard rate of tax for general wastes going to landfill was £7 per tonne and £2 per tonne for inert materials. The tax is designed to encourage commercial and industrial businesses and local authorities collecting from households, to divert waste away from landfill for recycling. In April 2009, the standard rate of landfill tax increased to £40 per tonne and is scheduled to increase each year by £8 per tonne until 2013. The lower rate of tax charged upon any inert materials going to landfill such as concrete and soils, has remained relatively steady in recent years and is currently at £2.50 per tonne.

However, the weight factor alone of a bulk load of these inert materials going directly to landfill will ensure that the entire cost of disposal becomes very expensive and so even in the demolition and construction sector, diverting waste from landfill is a priority. The introduction of landfill tax has been a key driver in encouraging greater diversion of inert materials from landfill, to be used in sustainable development projects.

Following demolition and after passing through the crushing processrecycled 6F2 made from concrete and rubble from the demolished buildings may be used for many different purposes.

Next time you see a demolition project in progress or pass any construction site during a build programme, it is clear to see the volume of waste being generated. If waste is not in skips, piles of rubble will be stacked high. The placing of concrete waste in skips has been a major problem for waste contractors for many years. Having worked in the waste industry, I have seen skip lorries tipped backwards with the cab of the vehicle up in the air, due to the sheer overloading of waste skips with construction site waste.

Each year, the UK generates around 330 million tonnes of waste and it is estimated that around 90 million tonnes of this is from construction and demolition wastes. This figure has remained fairly constant since 2001. Around two thirds of this waste is usually recycled or reused in land reclamation or agricultural improvement projects. Since the late 1990s there has been a steady rise in the volumes of construction waste being recycled and this has been helped with advances in technology which have led to improved crushing technology to create more widespread use of different specifications of recycled aggregates.

In recent years, the construction industry as a whole has worked hard to encourage construction site managers to place a greater focus upon recycling on site. This has led to an increase in the recycling of all inert materials from site.

Prior to the introduction of the landfill tax all construction site waste including bricks and concrete would be bulked up and transferred to a landfill site for disposal. No consideration was given to recycling. There are now stringent regulations across the sector, coupled with an increase in environmental awareness, as well as the commercial benefits in ensuring that this type of waste is now recycled. There is also greater recognition of the vast array of opportunities to use recycled aggregates within the construction process on future construction projects or in areas such as landscaping or home and garden DIY. Following the demolition process, together the waste concrete, bricks, masonry etc will be transformed into a recycled concrete aggregate.

To recycle concrete aggregate to a high standard and resalable product, it must be entirely free of other contaminants such as wood, paper, card, steel and other general waste materials. The final product must also conform to the requirements of British Standard BS 8500. The process of recycling the concrete can usually be achieved in one of two ways. Some demolition contractors will install a crushing machine on the demolition site, whereas some contractors will prefer to transport the waste to be recycled, back to their own premises for segregation for recycling or re-use. On projects where demolition and new construction is to take place at the same location, the contractor is very likely to locate a crushing machine on site to avoid incurring additional transportation costs in taking the material back to a sorting and crushing facility.

The crushing eqipment UK demolition contractors use will convert brick and concrete residues into a recycled aggregate for future use.

The Increasing Demand for High Quality Recycled Aggregate

Before commencing the crushing process, it must be determined what the end product is to be used for to ensure that the recycled aggregate is to meet the required standards. There is huge requirement for recycled concrete aggregate to be used back in the construction process. As a product, recycled concrete aggregate can be used for almost any type of concrete structural work, road surfacing or pipe laying project. Having passed through the crusher the pieces of aggregate will be sorted by size. Bigger pieces may be retained as a decorative product for use in landscaping rockery projects, or they may be passed back through the crusher to be crushed to a smaller size. The smaller pieces of recycled aggregate may be suitable for use as a gravel on new construction projects, road laying or driveways at home. The crushing machines are now capable of achieving good quality small aggregate grades such as the production of a 20-5mm gravel which can be bagged and used in the garden at home or bought in bulk as part of projects involving new concrete production. The advances in technology mean that the recycling of aggregates for other uses such as a simple gravel product or for use in concrete products has greatly reduced the need to dig quarries to mine for gravel.

The demand for high quality crushed aggregate is increasing. There are key standards in place which are focused upon improving the recycled concrete aggregate industry. Through research and development, more widespread uses are being identified for the use of recycled aggregate. No longer is concrete, just concrete. What we are talking about now are many different grades of recycled aggregate, ranging from the large chunks of aggregate to very specific 6f2 recycled concrete which can be employed as a sub-base material for construction jobs, or 20-5mm recycled aggregate, which is a gravel and can be used in road construction or at home on driveways. As well as being used as a mix for road construction, recycled aggregate is being used as bedding for pipe laying or foundation material prior to construction projects commencing. In achieving such good quality grades the 20-5mm recycled aggregate can be used as an aggregate base in road construction and the quality meets the standards required to allow its reuse in concrete production.

One of the important criteria when using recycled aggregate is choosing the right specification for the task. For example, when using 20-5mm coarse graded aggregate as a road base, the thickness of the layer required must be determined to withstand traffic flows. Traffic flow on a motorway will be significantly different to that of a country road. One reason aggregate produced to a 20-5mm specification is used as a road base is that it aids good drainage. Once the recycled aggregate is laid, appropriate layers of asphalt or concrete can be laid over it to create the road surface.

In recent years, in the UK we seem to have more rain than sunshine and therefore the selected aggregate must be able to withstand variances in temperature and conditions e.g. dampness for long periods, torrential downpours, long dry spells. With its good drainage qualities, the recycled 20-5mm product is the perfect choice for many sand and gravel applications including, pipe bedding, driveways and footpaths, landscaping, plus for use in ready mixed and precast concrete products.

It is always better to employ a specialist company with knowledge of the latest building demolition legislation, one such campany can be found by clicking here.

Recycled Aggregates and the 2012 Olympics

In its bid for the 2012 Olympic Games, London placed sustainability as the focal point of its bid. The bid team identified a major opportunity to increase awareness of climate change and the issues which surround it, and bring it to the World’s attention. With the eyes of the World watching, the Olympic Games present a unique opportunity to communicate key messages about sustainability. Throughout the entire development of the Olympic project, there is a commitment to make 2012 the most sustainable Olympic Games ever held. This focus began when planning the development and build programmes for the facilities and venues, the transport links and network, the hosting of the Games themselves and will end by leaving a long lasting legacy of a sustainable environment.

Since London was awarded the Games, all partners involved in the development requirements, from the construction of the Olympic Stadium, the Olympic Village and transport links to the venues have been encouraged upon ensuring the use wherever possible of sustainable materials. Across the entire Olympic build programme developers have worked hard to identify suitable sustainable materials for use in the build programme. At the end of the overall project there will be some clearly visible examples of the use of sustainable products.

qually there will be many more much less visible and furthermore, many which will be not visible at all. One of those products which visitors to the games and its many venues will not even think about will be how recycled aggregates have been employed as part of the overall construction project. But developers and specifiers of materials for use in the build programme will be comfortable in the knowledge that they have selected sustainable products including, the most appropriate recycled concrete aggregates as part of the project. With its identified qualities, let’s hope that somewhere in the world wide TV coverage the 20-5mm recycled aggregate gets a mention somewhere, somehow. Imagine being asked to supply recycled aggregate which meets a very specific 20-5mm clean material specification, to help build the 2012 Olympic Village.

Conclusion

How times have changed in recent years for the demolition and construction industry. Companies have had to adapt to meet challenging environmental requirements. As with almost any industry, new regulations and legislation dictate the standards to which your business must aspire, if it is to be successful.

Businesses involved in the production of recycled concrete aggregate are no different. These are classed as processed materials and must conform to a particular product specification which can be used in the construction process. The standard BS8500-2 offers a full specification for the uses of recycled concrete aggregates in concrete, although with such a vast range of recycled aggregates an all encompassing specification for the use of these aggregates is yet to be determined. The most important thing is that the industry does not stand still and wait for the specifications to be finalised. The versatility of recycled aggregates means that demolition contractors operating crushing plants are seeking to identify markets through which to sell their recycled products. The advances in crusher technology and machinery has seen a big increase in the options now available in supplying large chunks of recycled aggregate for landscape gardening use in rockeries, down to a gravel type 20-5mm recycled aggregate with its good drainage qualities for use in road construction and driveways. The demolition and construction industry now places sustainability at the forefront of its future development projects.

A mobile game is a computer software game played on a mobile phone. Mobile games are usually downloaded via the mobile operators network, but in some cases games are also loaded into the mobile handsets when purchased, or via infrared connection, Bluetooth or memory card.

The different platforms

BREW is the more powerful technology, giving, as it does, complete control of the handset and complete access to its functionality. However this unchecked power could be dangerous, and for this reason BREW development process is tailored mainly towards recognised software vendors. While the BREW SDK (Software Development Kit) is freely available, running software on real mobile hardware (as opposed to the provided emulator) requires a digital signature which can only be generated with tools issued by a handful of parties, namely mobile content providers and Qualcomm themselves. Even then, the game will only work on test enabled devices. To be downloadable on regular phones the software must be checked, tested and given approval by Qualcomm via their TRUE BREW Testing programme.

Java (aka “J2ME” / “Java ME” / “Java 2 Micro Edition”) runs atop a Virtual Machine (called the KVM) which allows reasonable, but not complete, access to the functionality of the underlying phone. This extra layer of software provides a solid barrier of protection which seeks to limit damage from erroneous or malicious software. It also allows Java software to move freely between different types of phone (and other mobile device) containing radically different electronic components, without modification. The price that is paid is a modest decrease in the potential speed of the game and the inability to utilise the entire functionality of a phone (as Java software can only do what this middle-man layer supports.)

Because of this extra security and compatibility, it is usually a quite simple process to write and distribute Java mobile applications, including games, to a wide range of phones. Usually all that is needed is a freely available Java Development Kit for creating Java software itself, the accompanying Java ME tools (known as the Java Wireless Toolkit) for packaging and testing mobile software, and space on a web server (web site) to host the resulting application once it is ready for public release.

Current limitations of mobile games

Mobile games tend to be small in scope and often rely on good gameplay over flashy graphics, due to the lack of processing power of the client devices. One major problem for developers and publishers of mobile games is describing a game in such detail that it gives the customer enough information to make a purchasing decision. Currently, mobile games are sold through network carriers and operators portals, meaning there are only a few lines of text and perhaps a screenshot of the game to entice the customer. There is a reliance on powerful brands and licences such as Tomb Raider or Colin McRae, a racing game. There is also the use of well-known and established play patterns, meaning game play mechanics that are instantly recognizable in games like Tetris, Space Invaders or Poker. Both these strategies are used to entice mobile gamers to purchase games for a fee when a limited amount of additonal information is provided by the wireless carrier, who typically acts as a third party hosting the game.

Recent innovations in mobile games include Singleplayer, Multiplayer and 3D graphics. Virtual love games belong to both of singleplayer and multiplayer games. Multiplayer games are quickly finding an audience, as players find the ability to play against other people, a natural extension of their mobile phones connectivity.

We write tutorials about gaming, which we love.We also write popular product reviews to help the consumer make the best choices for the item they desire. cheap psp gamesis just one of such sites.

Bali lies in one of Indonesia archipelago, between Java and lombok. Bali has the population around three to four million peoples. Althoiugh Bali is small around 140km by 80km but with densely populated and culturally and economically one of the most important islands of Indonesia. The capital of Bali is Denpasar located on the south part of Bali.

Ubud is located 35 km northeast of Bali’s International Airport. On a relatively small island with a horde of attractions, Ubud is centrally located, and even the closest beach is only 15 minutes away. The Ubud area is around two- to three hundred meters above sea level and surrounded by rice fields, which makes it noticeably cooler than then other tourist destinations in Bali.

Ubud is popular in part today because it is the best place in Bali to break out of the tourist mode and get off the beaten path, although far from undiscovered. Many tourists simply base their entire stay in the city and travel to other destinations from Ubud. Atmosphere is perhaps the major attractions. One visitor summed it up this way: Kuta is madness, Sanur is sterile, and Nusa Dua is culturally isolated; Ubud is the place to go.

Another things famous in Ubud is its private villa. As one of choices of accommodation in Ubud, Bali villa can’t be compare to staying at the most luxurious resorts and boutique hotels. Imagine a class of accommodation in Ubud that fulfils your desire for peace and solitude. Your very own stylishly appointed Balinese villa will allow you the freedom to relax in complete privacy.

Hi and welcome back.

Today we’ll go over how to get business cards quickly using the good old internet.

You may not know it, but ordering business cards online is pretty easy, very convenient,
extremely affordable and downright fun! There are still great reasons to use a local printer, but if you want then you can visit a number of online printers any time of day or night, even right now. This is really one great benefit over local printers. If you have a brainstorm at midnight you can have your business cards ordered by 12:15am.

Here is how to do it:

Step 1 : On your mark!

One really great thing about the net is you can quickly shop for the best quality and price. Unfortunately there are a lot of sites to choose from. Each has their own advantages, so it pays to check them all out.

Step 2 : Get set!

If you already have your own design in mind you may be ready to go, because many of the most popular printers allow you to upload your own design when you order business cards online.

If you don’t yet have a business card design in mind these sites also have dozens of business card templates to choose from. Many of the templates are themed, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding something you would like.

Step 3 : Go!

After you have uploaded or chosen your theme, complete your card by filling in the information you want on your business cards, then continue through the order. A few things to consider though: First, know that there will likely be a charge for shipping. Second, sometimes you can get great deals on other related items as you go through the order process.

Step 4 : Wait, but not too long.
Then all you have to do is wait a day or two and your shining new business cards will arrive in the mail, ready for you to start using.

Pretty simple huh!

Hope this helps and have a great day!
Mark

I provide dozens of free tips about business cards from design to marketing on my business cards tips blog at http://www.BusinessCardsCenter.info. You can also sign up for the RSS feed to make sure you don’t miss a great tip.

Do you know how long ferrets live?

As long as your ferret is not contract any serious illness is, or have a major accident, you should expect him to live for at least 7 years. There are some records of ferrets living so long as 14 years but the eldest I’ve had was 10 when she died. If you’re considering buying a ferret for the 1st time bear in mind that there are advantages and drawbacks to purchasing a ferret at all ages. It does not actually count how long a ferret lives if you are not prepared to look after it for its entire life.

Young ferrets ( kits ) are amazing animals to own. If you have children or other pets it’s a good idea to begin with an exceedingly young ferret as they’re less menacing and more entertaining to play with. they do need consistent discipline if you want to house break them, and you should also teach them to play nice and avoid biting and scratching.

Adult ferrets which have been well handled and cared for are far easier to own than a young ferret. an adult ferret which has been treated badly will be terribly tricky and can actually be perilous. Buying an adult also implies that it’ll already have been spayed and de-scented, which is another expense that you don’t need to think about.

There are a couple of important points to remember if you need to make sure that your ferret lives to a ripe old age. The first is making certain they get good nutrition and plenty of clean water. Ferrets will need a protein-rich ideally with animal protein rather than vegetable protein. They also require regular visits to a vet to ensure they’re in good condition and their vaccinations are up to date. And the most important point is to guarantee they are part of a loving family and treated with kindness and love at every point.

Whatever it is that your company needs to have printed or published, Cross Media Publishing is a state-of-the art comprehensive solution package which answers all your requirements and has a company-wide application.

Starting with a neutral data bank Cross Media Publishing is a simple and effective way to bring across the very essence of your company or your product to a clearly-defined target audience. The aim of Cross Media Publishing is to establish a consistent and stringent communication between your company and your customers, whatever the chosen channel of communication or medium. One great advantage is that unnecessary costs can be cut, and this irrespective of the size of your firm.

Product Information Management (PIM) means supplying high quality and up-to-date information on products for use in different media and for different company locations. The information in the form of product data, images, descriptions, texts and other sources is stored and administered in a modular systems architecture and can be used on WWW and intranet using a standardized technology. One of the most important aspects of PIM is that the individual product data is stored in a inter-exchangable form. If PIM is not used, there is a danger that the product information is not accessible throughout the company, and can only be used once.

A good Cross Media Publishing system guarantees the highest possible benefits for your company:

Optimal integration into the existing systems environment

Modular solution

Utilisation of existing standards such as Java et. al.

Compatible with prevalent software and hardware platforms

Modern software architecture

Data can be easily maintained because the content, structure and layout are separated

Final publishing in print and online media can be effected with a high level of automation

Customer communication can be optimised

Cross Media Publishing can be implemented fast and with little effort
